About me
Hello, I’m Lucas.
I’m an RIBA chartered architect based in central Cambridge. Aēdral Architecture was founded in 2025.
I have five years of experience working in architecture.

Method
Each project starts with hand drawings, to hone in on possible ideas and devise concept designs. Once a vision for the design has been established I begin building this design as a building-information-model (BIM) and continue to work closely with the client as the design develops across each stage.
I choose to work on ArchiCAD as I find it allows for greater flexibility then other BIM software.
A
Approach
I have an interest in the Dutch architectural aesthetic, particularly that which is seen in Amsterdam (sloped roofs, cleanly defined windows, contrasting material palette) and in biophilic design (the tactile use of and expression of natural materials). However, I don’t push the client in any particular direction and aim to realise your vision for your project.
I have an interest in sustainable design and can provide information on sustainable design options, for example how from biodegradable, environmentally friendly insulation, structural or cladding materials can be used, if desired. I can also provide options for increasing a building’s thermal comfort and the options available for reducing energy.
